Too fast for a three-year-old, but he enjoyed chasing the ball and then returning it to the shoot for it to pitch again. I bought this on sale and I think it’s so much fun but I definitely would not pay full price for it.Just received it yesterday and my son loves it. He uses it to practice catching and hitting.We had previously purchased softer baseballs at Big 5 (about $15 for 6) so my son could practice catching without being afraid of the ball hitting him, and we discovered the balls are EXACTLY like the balls that come with this machine. They fit and work perfectly, so we were able to load it with about 9 or 10 balls each round. Only reason I did not include a 5th star is because it does not include the power adapter. My husband went to 3 stores to try to find one that would work, but no luck. Going to search for one on Amazon (just watched the video of the customer who has it connected to a power adapter).Nice machine for child batting practice and you don't have to stand there pitching ball. Instead you have to be able to catch themI purchased the Franklin pitching machine for my granddaughter, age 11 This is her first year playing solfball. She.loves it..I got this for my almost 9 year old grandson, and we didn’t have it even a day before his 6 yr old brother managed to break off one of the legs by sitting on it. I plan on duck- taping it to the preferred position. Hope that works - oh yeah, they came down on the price quite a bit after I’d already gotten it, so double bummer.In teeball they have pitches thrown to them. Bought this to help them get a feel for pitches however goes a little fast for teeballVery irritated it didn't come with a power supply. I don't know if the description mentioned that it didn't come with a power supply at the time I ordered it, but I was definitely surprised to see they sell it for an additional fee. What any other electric device comes with must be purchased separately unless you have a good supply of C batteries ?. Beyond that, great product and the kids love it!It’s not super accurate and the balls are too lightweight. It was packed in a brown cardboard box, no instructions and it is supposed to come with 4 foam softball which were not in the box.Some pitches are variable and 4 balls is not enough and buying more is a bit of a headache.
